Mark R. Mr. Burdette has experience examining title, researching, preparing, and negotiating documents associated with real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, easements, rights-of-way, deeds, releases, leases, lien and security documents, etc. Mr. Burdette works on land use and zoning matters to assist builders and developers to initiate and complete community projects.
Mr. Burdette provides counsel to homeowners associations, developers, and common interest communities, with an emphasis on Uniform Common Interest Ownership Act compliance. Mr. Burdette has assisted in the development of planned communities, creating foundational documents and generating policies to govern day-to-day operations. Mr. Burdette has worked with homeowners associations on matters related to governance, assessments, acquisitions, project financing and budgeting, governing document revisions, and enforcement measures.
Mr. Burdette represents a diverse corporate clientele, including limited liability companies, for-profit corporations, non-profit corporations, and public corporations. Mr. Burdette’s work with corporate clients includes formation, negotiation, governance and procedure, taxation, procurement, general transactions, sales and acquisitions, management, and dissolution. Mr. Burdette also has experience representing builders and developers in matters related to regulatory boards and agencies.
