Ann R. Starcher
Ann R. Starcher serves is of counsel at Lewis Gianola PLLC in Charleston, West Virginia. She was previously a member and managing member of the firm. Her practice is focused on commercial transactions, including acquisitions, mergers, financing, and bankruptcy. With extensive experience handling legal matters in the energy, banking, and general commercial industries, Ms. Starcher provides her clients with exceptional, efficient counsel and representation. Before becoming a lawyer, Ms. Starcher was a vice president of Citicorp North America, Inc. concentrating in corporate finance for highly leveraged transactions. Her work in corporate banking and finance served as a launchpad for her practice as commercial transactions attorney and business lawyer, and it enabled her to better understand the goals and perspectives of business clients. After law school, she served as a law clerk for the Honorable Ronald G. Pearson in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of West Virginia

She works closely with national counsel coordinators to review loan documents, organizational documents, and applicable laws, timely address any issues of concern, and issue local counsel opinions.
Bankruptcy and Receiverships
As a result of her clerkship with a bankruptcy court and her prior finance background, Ann provides advise to creditors in corporate bankruptcy matters, and West Virginia state court receivership matters.
